I have my first flight coming up since starting on a CGM and an insulin pump. I'm worried about the advanced body scanners and baggage X-ray machines damaging my devices or insulin. What is the safest way to get through airport security without ruining my tech?

Traveling with diabetes tech can feel intimidating the first time, but it becomes second nature once you know the rules! The most important thing to remember is that you should never put your insulin pump, CGM sensors, or backup insulin through the baggage X-ray machine. The radiation from X-ray belts can damage the delicate internal motors of pumps and the enzymes in CGM sensors.
